Can I have chickens on my residential property?

No.  The City does allow for chickens (defined as livestock which includes poultry, fowl, etc.) in the A-1 zoning designations which are found within City limits and usually contain existing farmsteads where chickens are permitted (See City Code Section 100.5).

If someone desires chickens on their property, they are encouraged to seek out a property with the A-1 zoning classification.  One may view their zoning classification by visiting the on-line zoning map, which may be found here:  Zoning Map
