End of Teen Summer Programs

The last night of programs started with a scavenger hunt. The group of about 30 was divided into teams of three. The had to solve clues like some of these below:

In total, there were 8 clues hidden on the library's grounds. Other clues were word mazes, blown up pictures, and codes to decipher. It took about 30 minutes for them to solve all the clues and make it to the final prize! The last clue was the call number of a very old book on a shelf in the library :)

Everyone received pizza coupons to Kwik Star or Dominos!

Then we started the outdoor movie with popcorn and popsicles for refreshments on the back patio of the library. We put blankets on the ground and gathered around the blow-up screen. Love those summer nights!

Just before 10 PM we paused the movie to draw for the Grand Prize: A mini refridgerator stocked with Mt. Dew!!! (Donated by the Masons Club.) We also had lots of other prizes to give away too: water bottles, scrabble slam games, graphic novel series, a season of CSI: Miami, and more!
