Hobbit Midnight Premier! It's finally here!
- J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit, Ch. 17

This Thursday evening (technically Friday morning) is the midnight premier of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey! I cannot wait! I may be even more excited than the teens who are going to go, too :)
I re-read the book last week. Even better than I remembered! Got me even more pumped for Thursday. You still have time to read the book before you watch the movie, if you are interested. I know one of the school's book clubs is reading it soon.
This last Saturday some of the T.A.B. kids went to the Lord of the Rings marathon that the Waverly Palace Theatre put on. And last winter, when Hunger Games came out, a group of us attended that movie together, too.
It's fun to see the books you loved reading put into movie format. I like to compare what I had imagined in my head while reading the book to what the directors have interpreted in their minds for the movie.
If you are interested in going to the movie, (ask your parents first!) come join us at Waverly Palace Theatre. We are all meeting there around 15 minutes before showtime. And you may want to consider buying your tickets ahead of time. I'm not sure how popular it will be.

Hope to see you there!
