Kindness Bombing the Library!
It's been too long since I've written a blog post! Not for lack of content and activities with the teens, that's for sure! The teens and I have been busy doing a number of different things: movie night with popcorn and m&m's, Risk game night, and our latest adventure - Kindness Bombing the library!
What is "Kindness Bombing"? If you aren't familiar with that term, no worrries, because I wasn't at first either. Essentially, it means leaving small acts of kindness for strangers to find. Sounded like fun, so we decided to "bomb" WPL.
Here's how we are did it:
- We wrote about 50 short notes on little slips of paper.
- The notes have kind sayings on them to brighten the day of whoever might receive them. (Examples below.)
- Teens walked throughout the library randomly selecting books to put the notes in.
- Now the fun part! We wait to see if it works and if we get any reactions!
Simple, easy and fun!
