Kindness Bombing the Library!

It's been too long since I've written a blog post! Not for lack of content and activities with the teens, that's for sure! The teens and I have been busy doing a number of different things: movie night with popcorn and m&m's, Risk game night, and our latest adventure - Kindness Bombing the library!

What is "Kindness Bombing"? If you aren't familiar with that term, no worrries, because I wasn't at first either. Essentially, it means leaving small acts of kindness for strangers to find. Sounded like fun, so we decided to "bomb" WPL.

Here's how we are did it:

  1. We wrote about 50 short notes on little slips of paper.
  2. The notes have kind sayings on them to brighten the day of whoever might receive them. (Examples below.)
  3. Teens walked throughout the library randomly selecting books to put the notes in.
  4. Now the fun part! We wait to see if it works and if we get any reactions!

Simple, easy and fun!
